-

Greetings Neighbors,

Senator Cortese will be hosting his next virtual Town Hall on Thursday, November 3rd at 6:00pm with a focus on “CARE Court: A State Initiative to Address our Mental Health Crisis”.

Join us as we hear from the Honorable Judge Stephen Manley from the Superior Court of Santa Clara County and Uday Kapoor from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) for a discussion on the CARE Act, legislation passed this year to address our state’s mental health crisis by implementing a new framework which will connect individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders to the care and services they need to get healthy.

Tune in as NAMI provides us with an overview of the legislation and its importance and Judge Manley discusses the role that the court would serve under this program! We hope you can join us to learn more about this new initiative!
