Bill to Reform Felony Murder Rule/LWOP Advances

Senate Bill (SB) 300 authored by State Senator Dave Cortese (D-Silicon Valley), a bill to reform California’s “felony murder special circumstance” law as well as the life in prison without parole (LWOP) sentence, cleared a crucial hurdle today when it advanced through the Assembly Public Safety Committee.
