Jim Beall reintroduces affordable housing bill formerly SB 5 now SB 795

Senators Beall, McGuire and Portantino introduced SB 795 a bill to increase the production of affordable housing units in California. In midst of homeless crisis, state must fund production efforts aimed at low and very-low income Californians.

Californians aren’t getting the mental health care they’re legally guaranteed. Why not?

“I’m going to put even more effort into next year,” Beall said, “because I’m madder than hell about it.”
