Election Day Is Almost Here: Your Guide to Voting in SD-15!

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Election Day is just around the corner! On or before Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Californians have the opportunity to make their voices heard on the issues and leadership shaping the future of our collective communities.

As your State Senator, I encourage every eligible voter in Senate District 15 to review your ballot, learn about the candidates and measures, and make a plan to vote. Whether you choose to vote by mail, drop off your ballot, or vote in person, there are several ways to make your voice count.

IMPORTANT ELECTION DATES & TIMES

  • Saturday, October 31 – Monday, November 2: Most in-person early voting locations throughout Senate District 15 will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Check out your nearest location and operating hours at https://caearlyvoting.sos.ca.gov/.
  • Tuesday, November 3 -- ELECTION DAY: Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Ballots returned in person must be received by 8:00 p.m.

THREE WAYS TO CAST YOUR BALLOT

  1. Vote by Mail
If you have received your vote-by-mail ballot, complete it, seal the return envelope, and remember to sign it! Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked by November 3 and received by the Santa Clara County elections office by November 10.
  2. Find a Ballot Drop Box
Skip the mailbox and drop off your ballot at an official ballot drop box near you by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Find a convenient drop-off location at https://caearlyvoting.sos.ca.gov/.
  3. Vote in Person
Check out early voting options or find your assigned Election Day polling place at https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/polling-place. Be sure to vote by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

MISSED THE VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE? YOU CAN STILL VOTE.

Check your status at https://voterstatus.sos.ca.gov/. If you missed the October 19 voter registration deadline, California offers a process called Same Day Voter Registration, also known as Conditional Voter Registration. Eligible voters can register or update their registration and cast a ballot in person at their county elections office or an eligible voting location through Election Day, November 3. Your ballot will be counted once election officials verify your registration and eligibility.

Find a location and learn more at https://caearlyvoting.sos.ca.gov/.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AS A VOTER

Remember that every eligible voter has the right to cast a secret ballot, receive assistance if needed, and vote if they are still in line when the polls close!

Check out California’s official Voter Bill of Rights at https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/voter-bill-rights. For assistance, to report misconduct, or if you feel your voter rights have been violated, contact the California Secretary of State’s Voter Hotline at (800) 345-VOTE (8683) or email [email protected].
