Senator Cortese to Attend Homeless Health Fair on Friday, Feb. 10

WHAT: State Senator Dave Cortese (D-San Jose) will participate in a press conference to kick off his annual community health fair serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Santa Clara County. The Homeless Health Fair, which is returning to Downtown San Jose for the first time since 2019 following the pandemic, will feature over 30 local service providers for unhoused community members, including health and dental screenings, mobile showers, haircuts, warm meals, studio-quality photographs, bike repairs, and much more.

 

There are approximately 10,000 people experiencing homelessness in Santa Clara County, according to the 2022 Point-In-Time Report on Homelessness. In the City of San Jose, the report counted 6,650 unhoused individuals.
