Senator Dave Cortese joins United Farm Workers in Advancing SB 1299 to Prevent Farmworker Deaths

Members of the United Farm Workers (UFW) union join Senator Dave Cortese for a press conference to highlight the plight of farmworkers as a result of heat illness and injury in the workplace due to extreme heat weather conditions out in the fields. Recently, there were six Yolo County farmworkers who were retaliated against for exerting their rights wishing to prevent heat injury and illness.
