SACRAMENTO, CA – California State Senator Dave Cortese (D-San Jose), Chair of the Senate Transportation Committee, introduced a package intended to keep the state’s High-Speed Rail project on time and on budget. As part of last year’s state budget, Senator Cortese and his colleagues secured a $1 billion investment in Cap-and-Invest funds each year for the next 20 years for the project. The proposed package aims to maximize limited financial resources while preserving trust and transparency among the public.

SACRAMENTO, CA – California State Senator Dave Cortese (D-San Jose) has introduced Senate Bill 1246 (SB 1246) relating to accountability, oversight, and transparency of autonomous vehicles (AVs) such as driverless robotaxis. SB 1246 was approved by the Senate Transportation Committee and is now on its way to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
