As the 2022 Legislative Calendar begins today for the California State Legislature, Senator Dave Cortese (D-Silicon Valley), is excited to get back to work and build on the innovative, first-of-its-kind initiatives and investments he championed last year to address the impacts of COVID-19, build affordable housing statewide, expand access to mental health treatment, strengthen our healthcare and hospital systems, safeguard our environment, and bring needed reform to our criminal justice system.

 




At the United Nations’ 2021 Climate Change Conference (COP26), Assemblywoman Luz Rivas (D-San Fernando Valley), Assemblymember Lisa Calderon (D-Whittier), Assemblymember Chris Ward (D-San Diego) learned that the world is surpassing California on climate change education.
